Need a light? This luxe refillable petrol lighter is handcrafted by Tsubota Pearl from beginning to end in Tokyo.

Established in 1952 by Hiroshi Tsubota, Tsubota Pearl produces incredible metalwork with all components made by artisand using traditional techniques in specialised workshops in and around the Asakusa area of Tokyo; known as Shitamachi. The 'Hard-edge Marble' model was introduced into Tsubota Pearl's collection in 2008. The tortoise patternings on the translucent body are spray-painted by hand in multiple layers using 'Floated' stencils, then polished to perfection. These mottled gradations are never exactly the same, and are unique to each lighter – creating depth and an interplay of color, light, and material. Get lit.
